After years of cleaning with the Eneco Clean Beach Cup, there will finally be an all year round approach! Fast Forward is #thrilledtopieces by the Clean Beach Clubs, seventeen Belgian surf clubs that will commit themselves to keeping their beach strip as clean as possible. The surfers’ playground, the wild waves and the vast beach, ought to remain free of litter, because nobody wants to surf on waves full of cans and plastic bags.

For them to be permitted to sport the ‘Clean Beach Club’ sustainability label, clubs have to organise at least two cleanup actions a year, address the stubs’ issue and enforce five changes towards less plastics. So away with plastic straws and in with the reusable cups and beach ashtrays! The clubs have really had it with litter, so they want to do more. In inspirational sessions, they gather solutions and discuss topics such as water consumption and energy. All surfboards point in the same direction: towards a litter-free future.

What a drive! The beach heroes are a tremendous inspiration for Fast Forward. They make us feel like collecting garbage in large numbers at the annual Eneco Clean Beach Cup. Tickled by the idea?
