WORLD-CLASS EXPERIENCE

Creative, grand and out-of-the-box, but at the same time local and close by. With our noses in the same direction, we set to work together with Luckytree under the name Team Ghent United to create the first edition of ASFALT. In a preliminary phase of several months, we made the four core values of the street sports and urban culture festival clear: raw, expressive, authentic and creative. Temporary installations, but also permanent street art gave Ghent colour and charisma, while on the sports front, open qualifications and free workshops got everyone excited about the upcoming event.

RELIVE ASFALT 2024

With a packed grandstand, the opening night on Friday 20 September at Houtdok was a blast. Dance battles, BMX Flatland showcases and beatboxers were just the teasers of what was planned over the next two days at the four venues spread across Ghent city centre. The World Cup Skateboarding and the World Chase Tag competition were big international hits both on site and online. From the youngest to the visitors with a lot of life experience, they all feasted their eyes and made one discovery after another. ASFALT became a world-class experience and discovery festival!
