The 200th anniversary of a grande dame: this unique event has to reverberate through the next 100 years. This is why Ghent University commissioned Fast Forward for the organisation of ‘IEDEREEN UGENT’. Result? A flawless organisation, in part thanks to good partnerships and six months of meticulous preparation. Ghent university's 200th anniversary is worth boasting about. And that is exactly what happened! The different university buildings were connected by a visual route and involved in the festivities co-ordinated by Fast Forward and Lucky Tree. The icing on the cake was the closing party on the Sint-Pietersplein, with performances of, among others, Big Band ’t Mouvement, Lady Lynn, Jef Neve and Sioen. Pascale Platel and Jan Matthys were the emcees, while DJ Shizzle Le Sauvage added the necessary beats.

And for the star of the show we had a special surprise: all the food trucks had a link with UGent, in the sense that they were all run by former students.

The preparation of this anniversary party took six intense months. And was it worth it? “Hell yeah!”, according to the 25,000 attendees.
