Lieven Lootens is a well-known name in the culinary world. Not only does this chef run ’t Aards Paradijs and Naturell, he has also been crowned best vegetable chef of the Benelux. Lootens is a creative mind, which is apparent from his experience project Theater Der Zintuigen.
This gastronomic time machine takes you back to the Middle Ages, more specifically a culinary/cultural voyage of discovery along three historic sites in Ghent - St. Peter's Abbey, the d’Hane Steenhuyse palace and the Gravensteen. At every site you get to sample food and drink harking back to the dark ages.
Quite a logistical challenge! This is why the chef used Fast Forward's know-how of planning, organising and all-round arranging. While Lootens watched over the concept and the food, Fast Forward guarded and refined the general flow of this special three star theatre.
